Honeymoon - Day 3

Breakfast at Sear's. It was right across the street from our hotel and we went there at least 3 mornings.

Driving over Golden Gate to leave SF on the way to Sonoma

Our guest house in Sonoma named Casita Carneros. That is our guard dog, Snickers.

The pool was nice but too cold to get in. The house did have an outdoor jacuzzi though.

Nicholson Ranch

This small stone chapel on Nicholson Ranch was built by the owner in the '60s so his daughter could be christened.

Honeymoon - Day 2

Pier 33 on the Embarcadero - where the ferry to Alcatraz leaves from.

Gabe with his bad azz Mustang convertible

Julie showing off her ferry pass. Her one request for the honeymoon was to go to Alcatraz and we didn't waste any time in going.

Leaving Pier 33 - Coit Tower is on the hill in the background.

Bay Bridge

Alcatraz Island

Metaphor for marriage?

Looking very touristy. The only thing missing was a fanny pack.

Julie through a visitation window

Pier 39 had a bunch of loud and very foul-smelling seals

Getting my fortune told by Zoltar. I didn't ask to be Big.

Julie by a fruit stand

Julie was dying to see 'Wicked' while it was in Birmingham but I convinced her we needed to save money for the honeymoon. All the while knowing I had tickets to see it in SF at the Orpheum. She had no idea we were going until I surprised her at dinner that night.

Greens Restaurant - Julie had survived on crackers and airplane peanuts all day and then our first night I take her to a vegetarian restaurant?!?! It was a shock to her but she made it through. The restaurant was really good and the view was amazing.

Post-Wedding Pictures

Arriving home after the wedding. Our driver was nice enough to take this picture.

Julie opening up a belated gift from Jaime Rux & Ashley Conyers.

It's a pair of flip flops she was supposed to wear during the reception.

Ashley's husband, Jimmy, accidentally mailed them back to themselves.

Then I forgot to give them to her before the wedding.

It just wasn't meant to be but here they are with her wedding dress.

Back From The Honeymoon

What a fun couple of weeks we had. San Francisco was great and Sonoma and Napa were unbelievable. Pictures and more to come soon.

Thanks to everyone who came to the wedding, it was great and we had an awesome time with all of you.

The photographer is working on pictures but here's one I think y'all will enjoy in the meantime...

Flower Finders

One of the funnier things I've done while planning our wedding is my trip to Hall's Wholesale Flowers with my mom and sisters. My florist gets her flowers at Hall's so she suggested that I go there and look at flowers to get a better idea of the ones that I wanted for our wedding. After flying by the building twice in my rush to find it and meet my mom and Elizabeth who were already there (and only seeing the building because Rebecca yelled out from my passenger seat "There's Mama and Libby on the side of the road!"), we finally made it in to look at flowers. The workers at Hall's were really nice and let us look around but kept insisting we borrow their jackets before we went into the coolers to look at those flowers. We finally relented and put their jackets on...how cold can it be in a cooler of flowers we thought? Turns out it is very cold! Our sandal-clad feet were quickly frozen and after a quick inspection of the flowers and some cold drops of water on our heads from the ceiling we were ready to leave; but, we had some good laughs and learned it's more comfortable just looking at flowers in magazines.

Elizabeth and me inspecting flowers for our bouquets.

Rebecca pointing out something she liked.

Mama and Libby laughing at mom's borrowed jacket.

Water dripping on our heads.

Looking at the various shades of pink daisies.

No Going Back Now!

We went to apply for our marriage license yesterday and here are some of the pics. Luckily no one escorted us out a la Al Roker for taking pics of a courthouse!
